Min Fong Lee:  

Born May 11, 1952 on Mother's Day and the 3 Year Wedding Anniversary of my parents. Born in Long Beach, California and lived in Lakewood until move to Van Nuys around 1956. Wen to Valerio Street School Kindergarten through 1st grade. Saint Elizabeth's Catholic School from 2nd until half of 6th where upon the family moved to Northridge. Attended Darby Ave. Elementary School, Nobel Jr. High and then Granada HIlls High School. A sloppy year at Pierce College, West LA College and 1 year at Pepperdine University (Malibu) pretty much sums up my educational period. Married Johnna KL Lee (that was her maiden name) on New Years Eve 1977 and were married until 1983 (no kids). 1978 I entered the Los Angeles City Fire Department and that was my career for 30 years (retired May 2008). Though my time in High School got me involved in Stage performances (Amahl and the Night Visitors, Carrousel, and West Side Story) I continued to perform in other shows (Gigi, West Side Story (again), My Fair Lady, 12th Night (at Pepperdine University and won Best Actor for the year...played the Court Jester...type casting), and Pirates of Penzance). My greatest experience was preforming in a Rock Gospel Musical titled, "Open Any Door". I toured for 2.5 years and have wonderful memories of my time on the road with a wonderful cast and crew.
